Sunday the 24th of July was a glorious day for everyone associated with TheMailBag. MailBag Bloodstock’s 3rd winner from 4 runners & our biggest thrill to date. Late in 2021, Jack Dickens set about getting a Syndicators license to expand the business & move into a space which he was confident the team could be really competitive in.

“We will take the same mantra we have with our betting to our buying, we have proven ourselves in betting & I am confident the same thinking aligns with bloodstock, particularly the tried horse market” said Jack Dickens

We paid just $16,000 for FIELD OF ROSES in late May and on Sunday he won first-up for Mailbag Bloodstock and in doing so collected $19,250 in prize-money. The 4-year-old gelding now owes his new owners nothing and he can race on for years to come.

Dickens said today “finding & buying horses has been a-lot of work for very little actual result in regard to the number of horses we’ve managed to actually secure. We have been really strict on price and that’s seen us been outbid on plenty of horses. Having Shane Ciurleo working hard at his end has helped enormously early on, ACOTANGO & MAJORELLE were great buys & built valuable momentum for us”

Shane secured both horses via Inglis Digital from Aquis.
