This stunning 2-year-old MANHATTAN RAIN filly has been BROKEN-IN and is READY to enter the stables of AIRBORNE trainer GAVIN BEDGGOOD. The filly is BEAUTIFULLY BRED and out of an EXTREMELY FAST family, including GROUP 3 WINNERS SATORIAL SPLENDOR and GENERATION.

By MANHATTAN RAIN, who won the GROUP 1 SIRES PRODUCE STAKES, as well as placing in the GOLDEN SLIPPER, CHAMPAGNE STAKES, CAULFIELD GUINEAS and finished 2.5 lengths 2nd off SO YOU THINK in the COX PLATE. Not just a producer on the track, MANHATTAN RAIN has produced some fine progeny: SHE WILL REIGN, winner of the GOLDEN SLIPPER and MOIR STAKES, GROUP 1 Singapore winner EXCELLING and MULTIPLE GROUP WINNERS WILD RAIN, JAMAICAN RAIN and MOONOVERMANHATTAN.

Our filly is out of winning CANFORD CLIFFS mare, CALAIS VIEW. A winner over 1000m herself, CALAIS VIEW is stunningly bred being out of PERSONAL ENSIGN who won the LISTED Northwood Plume Stakes and was placed in the GROUP 2 The Age Classic. PERSONAL ENSIGN is the dam of FONTITON, who won the INGLIS BANNER on debut by 6 lengths before winning the GROUP 3 BLUE DIAMOND PREVIEW, GROUP 2 BLUE DIAMOND PRELUDE and starting a $2.25 favourite in the GROUP 1 BLUE DIAMOND before pulling up with poor recovery. FONTITON has been a successful broodmare herself, being the dam of GROUP 3 WINNER GENERATION. PERSONAL ENSIGN is also the dam of GROUP 3 AUSTRALIA STAKES winner SARTORIAL SPLENDOR.

As you can see above, our filly is from an INCREDIBLY FAST family that gets up and going early. By a sire that was a GROUP 1 WINNER at 2YO and placed in a GOLDEN SLIPPER himself and has produced a GOLDEN SLIPPER winner in SHE WILL REIGN, our filly is bred to go EARLY. She has been broken-in, had a spell and is about to get back into training at the stables of Gavin Bedggood. She has also been nominated for the Inglis Race Series, VOBIS, VOBIS Gold and VOBIS Sires so there is some massive prize-money available to her. Being so well bred, she would be extremely valuable after her racing career if she can get any type of win of her resume.

GAVIN BEDGGOOD had an amazing last season, really stamping himself as a trainer to watch. From his 203 runners, he had 33 wins at a strike-rate of 16% and he has shown no signs of stopping going at 20% from his last 50 runners.
