Bred by Robert Crabtree, Semillion was a $300,000 2021 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale purchase by International Thoroughbreds Solutions (FBAA).

He is the third foal out of the city-winning Bel Esprit mare Sistonic, who is a sister to the Listed-winning, Group 2 Rubition Stakes-placed Iconic.

Sistonic’s grandam is Blue Hen mare Scandinavia, who herself is the dam of Group 1 Galaxy Handicap hero Magnus and Group 2 winners Wilander and Scandinavia.

Scandinavia is also responsible for Listed winners Arctic Flight and the Group 2-placed Lionhearted. She is the grandam of Black Caviar, All Too Hard and the dam of Ole Kirk and Gimmie Par. Scandinavia is the third dam of Hanseatic.

Two winners from four runners have been bred on a Shalaa/Bel Esprit cross, with Semillion the most notable.

He is the third foal out of the Group 1 Golden Slipper-winning Exceed And Excel mare Overreach, who is a sister to Group 2 Expressway Stakes winner Standout and the Group 3 Canonbury Stakes-placed Outreach.

Overreach’s grandam is the Listed-winning Miss Prospect, who herself is responsible for Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Reward For Effort, Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap runner-up Consular and the Group 3 Stocks Stakes-placed Annie La Vie.

Group 3 winner’s Minhaaj and Charmed Harmony feature in this family.

Profound Wisdom’s grandam Elated Lady, who is a half-sister to six-time Group 1 winner Shaftesbury Avenue, is responsible for three Group 2 winner’s, including Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes heroine Fatoon, who herself has thrown Group 1 Epsom Handicap winner Fat Al.

 An $800,000 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase by Ciaron Maher Bloodstock from the draft of Rosemont Stud, Counttheheadlights is the third foal out of the Group 2 Moonee Valley Fillies Classic-placed Sebring mare Tahni Dancer.

Tahni Dancer herself is out of the Group 3 McNeil Stakes winner Tahni Girl, making her a half-sister stakes winner’s Maschino and Kentucky Breeze.

Tahni Dancer’s grandam is three-time New Zealand Group 1 winner Ballroom Babe, who herself is responsible for Group 2 Furious Stakes winner Just Dancer.

This is the family of Inglis Millennium heroine Xtravagant Star and he Listed-winning brother He’s Xceptional.

Four named horses have been bred on a I Am Invincible/Sebring cross for two winners from as many runners.

Bred and retained by L P Maxsted and fellow connections after failing to meet his reserve of $120,000 at the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Jacquinot is the first foal out of the unraced Pierro mare Ponterro, who herself is a half-sister too Group 1 Randwick Guineas winner Inference and New Zealand Group 2 winner Dragon Leap.

Godolphin stakes winner’s Ranier and Kordia feature in this family as does Magic Millions 3YO Guineas winner Away Game and her Listed-winning sister Modern Wonder.

Of four horses bred on a Rubick/Pierro cross Jacquinot is the only one to hit the racetrack thus far.

Owned by Wylie Dalziel, Rosemont Stud and a host of other connections, Rampant Lion was passed in at the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale after failing to meet a reserve of $550,000 set by his breeders Rosemont.

He is out of the unraced American-bred Street Cry mare Furnival, who herself is out of Group 3 Millie Fox Stakes winner Wild Queen, thus making her a half-sister to Godolphin Listed winner Varda and the dam of Group 1 Randwick Guineas hero Kementari, Group 1 ATC Sires’ Produce S. runner-up Teleprion and the stakes placed Valaquenta and Palurien.

The Listed-winning, Group 2 Danehill Stakes-placed Express Pass feature in this family.

A $1 million 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase by Tony Fung Investments and Phoenix Thoroughbreds from the draft of Baramul Stud, Flashing Steel is the second foal out of the winning Medaglia D’Oro mare Medaglia Valore, who herself is out of the Magic Millions 2YO Classic and Group 2 Reisling Stakes heroine Military Rose.

Medaglia Valore’s third dam Zest, is responsible for Group 3 Triscay Stakes winner Zestful and the stakes placed Zedazest and Zest A Second.

Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes runner-up and current first-season Arrowfield Stud stallion Pariah features in this family along with the Group 3-winning, Group 2 VRC Sires’ Produced Stakes-placed Saif, who now races in Hong Kong as Jumbo Fortune.

Beat The Benchmark is a half-sister to American Listed winner Abraham. Her grandam La Cucina is responsible for four individual stakes winners, including Lady Linda,  who herself is the dam of German Group 1 winner Penelopa.

Hafey is the only named horse bred on an I Am Invincible/Speightstown cross.

A $195,000 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase by Triple Crown Syndications from the draft of Sledmere Stud, Revolutionary Miss is out of the Listed-placed Onemorenomore mare Purcentage, making her a half-sister to Listed Canberra Guineas winner Equation.

Purcentage herself is out of the Listed Gimcrack-winning, Group 1 Thousand Guineas-placed Spurcent. Her grandam San Century is responsible for Group 1 Hong Kong Mile winner Glorious Days.

Revolutionary Miss is the only named horse bred on a Russian Revolution/Onemorenomore cross and none have been bred on a Snitzel/Onemorenomore cross.

Russian Revolution, who stands at Newgate Farm, currently sits atop the first-season sire standings.

Special Lover’s Group 1 Railway Handicap-winning grandam Diamond Lover is responsible for G1 Australian Derby hero Don Eduardo dual Group 1 winner Tristalove, herself the dam of Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes winner Viking Ruler.

Seven winners from eight runners have been bred on an Exceed And Excel/Pins cross, with Miss Roseiano the most prolific.

Second Time Lucky herself is a half-sister to the Listed placed Hayley Rose. Her third dam is Group 3 Easter Cup heroine Paraparap.

English Riviera is the only named horse bred on a Deep Field/Any Suggestion cross.

Bred and retained by Arrowfield Stud, Waltz On By is the second foal out of the Group 1 Thousand Guineas-winning Street Cry mare Stay With Me, who herself is out of the four-time Group 1 winner Miss Finland, thus making her a half-sister to the Group 1 placed Bucharest and Group 3 placed Earth Angel.

Group 1 The Oaks winner Moonshell and the Group 3 Lord Reims Stakes-winning Eperdument feature in this family.

Five winners from six runners have been bred on I Am Invincible/Street Cry cross, with the most prolific being Willowheart. No stakes winners have been bred on this cross to date.

A Godolphin homebred Seven Sisters is out of the Group 3 placed Redoute’s Choice mare Pleiades, who is a half-sister to the dam of Group 1 Thousand Guineas winner Flit and the Group 3 placed Flow.

Pleiades’ dam is the Group 3 Breeders Classic-winning Steflara. Her grandam is the dual Group 3-winning Blue Storm and her third dam is three-time Group 1 winner Gold Hope, who saluted in the All-Aged Stakes, Doncaster Handicap and the Railway Stakes.

The Street Boss/Redoute’s Choice cross has produced 12 winners from 15 runners, including gun colt Anamoe.
